For the past couple of years, NetLink Resource Group has had the distinct pleasure of helping an organization around the holidays that is very special, the Washington Master Chorale (WMC). As in previous years, NetLink will be donating free technical services in the form of web hosting, along with a monetary donation, which allows this great organization to have a solid web presence for brand awareness and fundraising.
Formerly called the National Master Chorale, the WMC is a semiprofessional chorus in Washington, D.C., that combines professional artistry with the beauty of architecture and the written word.
What makes this year special is that the WMC is hosting its inaugural winter holiday concert at the Bradley Hills Presbyterian Church on December 18th. The concert will feature the world premiere of Lori Laitman’s new choral cycle, “The Earth and I” — based on three Emily Dickinson poems.
Having composed two operas, an oratorio, choral works and over 200 songs, Lori Laitman is one of America’s most prolific and widely performed composers of vocal music and it is with great pleasure that the WMC will be performing one of her works.
Since its inception in 2009, I have had the distinct pleasure of serving on the board of an organization that plays a major role in advancing the vocal arts both locally and nationally.
With the holiday giving season upon us, I ask that you consider supporting the Washington Master Chorale. By visiting the web site you can click on the “Donate Now” button to give a gift online.
‘Tis the season for giving, and I sincerely hope you consider giving to an organization that advances the power, beauty and artistry of music.
Happy Holidays!
